About Us
Hi, I’m Amie, the founder of CustomsbyAF, I’m 22 years old and I’m from a town just outside of Manchester. I graduated University in May of 2025 with a bachelor's degree in fine Art. My hobbies and interests include concerts, formula one and football. I also love photography and will take photos of anything I find interesting to the eye.
Why I started this business
I decided to start this business so I could focus on what I love and make a career out of my degree. I wanted to mix my interests with my love for art and textiles, starting with Formula One and expanding to other areas when needed for customs. Linking what I did for my final piece, which was a Picasso inspired acrylic suspended piece, integrating Formula One Drivers, with wanting to create something that people can keep forever and making them sustainable by thrifting each jacket. I came up with the idea of custom jackets after creating one for Silverstone in 2025.
A Little Bit More Information About Me
I started watching in 2024, knowing only a select few drivers by having heard their names on the news or on social media, during the football break, to fill in the gap between the euros finishing and the football season starting back up again, but my family have been watching for years beforehand. Since then, I have been hooked on the sport and have not missed a session since. My favourite drivers are Lando, George, Alex, Carlos and Ollie.
Moving away from Formula One, my favourite music artists include, The Vamps, 5 Seconds of Summer, One Direction, New Hope Club and many more. I have been going to concerts since I was 10, with my first being 5SOS opening for One Direction in 2014. Since this I have been to more concerts than I can count. I love taking photos at concerts, experimenting with the different features my phone has, down to the exposure and/or quality.
